A shop with an extensive product range.

Project description.

iPhone Supply is a webshop with a wide range of products for iPhone devices. Based on an existing brand style and guidelines, I designed and developed a completely new webshop for iPhone Supply. After the design was approved through a design process, I started building a custom WordPress webshop with WooCommerce.

Development.

For the back-end, WordPress was used in combination with the WooCommerce plugin. The ordering process is as simple and clear as possible. Payment goes via iDeal, Paypal or credit card and Mollie has been used as a payment provider for this. For the homepage, as much of the range as possible had to be exhibited with a weekly offer for which a timer was integrated. On the product page there is a review system and questions and answers system built into it. Here you also have the option to add the product to your wishlist, a wishlist plugin has been used and styled. Aswel as the other pages of WooCommerce were styled and made up according to the brand style guide.

Optimizations.

During development, all script libraries are managed via Node.JS/NPM, so that the latest version can always be easily deployed (think of Bootstrap, Fontawesome etc.) and task runners are used with Gulp.js to compile all SASS and JavaScript to minified and combined scripts. In addition, the scripts ensure that images are lazyloaded and where possible scripts are loaded in the footer. This ensures that a minimum number of requests is maintained, which greatly benefits the speed. Since the website has been developed responsive and “mobile first”, the site works optimally on every device and can also be viewed for every device and potential customer.
