Process.

For planning, designing and developing your product, I use a process in which you are closely involved so that you remain in charge.

Scoping & planning

Discovery

Send your project requirements and necessary files via email or my project form. I will then contact you and we will discuss all matters related to your project. Such as your vision, tasks, budget, time, risks and then I prepare a quote and plan that matches your objectives.

Product backlog

If we agree on the conditions, I will set a convenient start date and involve you in a task management system with a product backlog that consists of an elaborated list of requirements and tasks in the form of user stories, so that there is no misunderstanding of what will be realized.

Sprints

Design

This is the phase in which the information takes shape in the scoping and planning phases and I, together with experience and best practices, will map the most logical and organized customer journey with a natural flow and progress from landing to conversion in the look and feel you want your audience to experience the product. With a Prototype in Invision allows you to test the design visually and interactively because images are linked. This allows us to test the product at an early stage.

Code

As soon as we have agreed on the final designs, I will start developing a responsive and functional end product; Modular build with custom written parts, delivered in neat code that complies with W3C standards and Coding Standards with clear comments and version management (Git). This ensures that your end product remains robust and scalable and that the code is transferable and sustainable.

Testing

It is important that the product works well for all potential customers on all modern browsers and devices and that the functionalities that have a direct impact on sales and lead generation are thoroughly tested. Therefore, the product is rigorously tested on the latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Internet Explorer & Mozilla Firefox on Windows, IOS, MacOS & Android.

Review

The development takes place on a local development environment and a staging server so you can assess the result before it is put online. For example, during the development, testing and demo, new wishes and features can be devised that we can record in the backlog and which can be picked up now or later.

Going live and support

Acceptance & going live

Three, two, one, launch is easier said than done. Before we get close to 'three', I make sure everything is linked, all necessities are in place, the product has been tested and the launch process is painless for you. We only go live when you and I are completely satisfied. There will then be a final quality check on the live site.

Support & maintenance

I am always available for questions and support. For further development, adjustments, extra help and support you can use my support hours where you can buy hours for cheaper prices. In addition, I can fully take care of the hosting and maintenance so that you always have only one point of contact in case of problems.

What kind of clients do you work with?

I work with independent entrepreneurs, online, offline and eCommerce businesses who are in need of a creative and technical partner. And I work with digital, design and development agencies who need temporary support and assistance with design and development projects.

How long does my project take and how quickly can we get started?

Project timelines may vary depending on your requirements and the size of the project. I take on 2-3 large projects per month and generally book 2-4 weeks in advance. Depending on my workload, we can start within a month. For an exact timeline you can always send me your project by email or my project form and I will give you a detailed estimate. Small projects / chores or quick adjustments can be carried out within a week, for this my support hours are ideal so that I can get started faster and where I charge a discount based on a total time taken.

Do you offer rush delivery?

This may depend on my current workload. Send me your project via email or my project form and I will see what I can do.

How do you charge costs and how many changes can I make?

When we start, I provide a contract and a budget for the work to be completed. I offer fixed prices based on the requirements, the size of the project and my hourly rate. Costs don't go up or down unless the scope changes - or time and materials. I try to give as much leeway as possible. During the design phase, I perform three rounds of major overhauls for free. During the design and development phase, all minor revisions are free of charge. We will record new features and functionalities in the backlog and can be carried out for an additional charge.

What are the average costs for a website / web application?

It is difficult to call an average price, because of the huge range of requirements. There are many factors that influence the final costs, for example a simple informative website can cost between 2,000 - 4,000 euros and for a somewhat more complex site with many custom functionalities and links, this can increase to 5,000 - 20,000 euros.

Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) ?

Yes, I respect confidentiality and I am willing to sign an NDA prior to the start of the project.
